Maryland Sheriffs' Institute (MSI)

The Maryland Sheriffs' Institute is a registered charity with the Maryland Security of State's Office, and all donations are tax-deductible as a charitable contribution for both Federal and State purposes.

The Maryland Sheriffs' Institute (MSI) was founded in 1995 as a companion organization to the Maryland Sheriffs' Association for the purpose of providing a non-profit, charitable organization that has a 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service. The 501(c)(3) status means that donations made to MSI are tax-deductible. MSI provides charitable, educational and training opportunities to the 24 elected Maryland Sheriffs, and their more than 1,600 deputies and other law enforcement support groups.
